Thank you so much for all of your support everyone. I am absolutely flabbergasted by the support that I have received with my book ASHAMED. It was fun to write, but also a little difficult as it contains so many elements from my childhood.
Jeremiah and Ricky are both fictional characters. But Jeremiah’s family and community is very similar to my own. And that was on purpose. I want people, who may be from non-religious families, how hard it often is for gay kids raised in the church to come to terms with their sexuality. It was hard for me, and it is for most kids in the same situation.
Writing this was a form of self-therapy, to get a lot of things on my chest. And now I want to announce, by popular demand, I am continuing the story of Jeremiah and Ricky. I have a 4 book series planned, with book # 2, HIDDEN, is in the final stages of writing before it goes to my editor. I plan to release it on Kindle and Amazon in early September.
I am glad that everyone liked ASHAMED, and I really hope that HIDDEN will be received positively as well. Jeremiah and Ricky are now a couple. How can they carry on their relationship, in secret, both being from conservative families.
